Completion of Ibai’s Balloon World Cup 2022 bracket, English coverage to be streamed

The 2022 Balloon World Cup Brackets Are Here

Who would have thought that keeping a balloon in the air could turn into a sport? Well, it has, and it’s gaining quite the following. After the success of the 2021 Balloon World Cup, the brackets for the 2022 tournament have been announced.

Today, on Ibai’s stream, the complete bracket was revealed, with the United States being the final pick. The reigning champions, Peru, will kick off the competition against Canada in the first round. A total of 15 matches will take place, starting today at 12:30pm CT and continuing over the next few days. Fans can catch the live stream on Ibai’s Twitch channel.

While keeping balloons in the air has been a casual pastime for many years, its popularity skyrocketed during the Coronavirus lockdowns. With people stuck indoors, they turned to batting balloons around, and soon enough, the trend took off on social media platforms like TikTok.

Ibai, a popular Spanish streamer, was also captivated by these videos. In fact, he went on to organize the first-ever Balloon World Cup in October last year. This unique sport requires players to keep a balloon airborne amidst furniture and other obstacles. It demands creativity in their movements and doing whatever it takes to keep the balloon in play.

The stream is about to begin, and these 16 teams will compete to determine the ultimate balloon-keeping champions.
