Among Us became extremely popular in the third quarter of 2020 when it caught the attention of popular content creators.
If you’re a crewmate in Among Us, your goal is to put pressure on imposters. You can do this by following and monitoring anyone suspicious. But there are other ways to win the game.
If you’re not confident in your detective skills, focus on completing tasks around the map. Once all crewmates finish their tasks, they win the game regardless of how many imposters are left.
Before playing a map, you can do some pre-reading to familiarize yourself with its quests. Polus, released in 2019, is the third map in Among Us and has 12 new tasks.

The Boiler Room
Open Waterways – Duration: Long
The Open Waterways task may seem simple, but it takes a long time because the bottle fills with water slowly.
This task has three parts, and you need to turn the valve counterclockwise for each part.
Replace Water Jug – Duration: Short
The Replace Water Jug task involves going to the Boiler Room and filling the empty water jug. Then, take the full jug back to the office and use the water to fill the dispenser.
Communications Tasks
Reboot Wi-Fi – Duration: Long
Rebooting the Wi-Fi is an easy task. Find the router in the Communications room and switch it off. After 60 seconds, you can switch it back on to complete the task.
Dropship Tasks
Chart Course – Duration: Short
The Chart Course task is a quick and simple connect-the-dots puzzle. Move the ship along the dotted lines in a zig-zag pattern.
Insert Keys – Duration: Short
To complete the Insert Keys task, place your key in the highlighted slot and turn it clockwise.
Electrical Tasks
Download and Upload Data – Duration: Long
The Download and Upload Data task has two parts and takes longer to complete compared to other tasks. Start the download process in the marked room, then go to the Communications room to upload the data.
This task can also appear in the O2, Office, Specimen Room, Weapons, and Communications.
Fix the Wiring – Duration: Short
Similar to the first electrical task, you need to find the indicated room and connect the wires based on their color. There are three electrical boxes around the map.
Follow the yellow arrow icons on your screen to find the other electrical boxes.
Laboratory Tasks
Repair Drill – Duration: Short
Interact with the Repair Drill task and click on the red exclamation marks until they disappear. Repeat this process for all the exclamation marks to complete the task.
Align Telescope – Duration: Short
Adjust the telescope’s focus to match the object on the bottom right corner of your screen.
Record Temperature – Duration: Short
Adjust the temperature on your screen’s left side to match the number on the right side.
This task can also appear in the Exterior, where you need to increase the temperature.
Medbay Tasks
Submit Scan – Duration: Short
Interact with the scanner and wait for the scan to be completed. The remaining time is displayed on the bottom of the screen.
Inspect Sample – Duration: Long
Interact with the green button and wait for 90 seconds. When you return, choose the sample that’s a different color from the others.
O2 Tasks
Empty Garbage – Duration: Short
Lower the switch on the right side of your screen and hold it down until the trash empties.
Monitor Tree – Duration: Short
Drag the sliders to match the dotted lines on the screen to complete the Monitor Tree task.
Fill Canisters – Duration: Short
Move the oxygen canister to the tray and wait for it to fill up. Repeat the process with the second canister to complete the task.
Office Tasks
Scan Boarding Pass – Duration: Short
Take out your boarding pass and drag it to the reader to complete the scanning process.
Exterior Tasks
Fix the Weather Node – Duration: Long
Complete a simple maze by dragging the yellow dot from the beginning to the end. Then, enable the Weather Node in the Laboratory to finish the task.
Specimen Room Tasks
Unlock Manifolds – Duration: Short
Click on the numbers in numerical order to complete the Unlock Manifolds task.
Store Artifacts – Duration: Short
Drag the four objects to their respective slots inside the storage unit.
Storage Tasks
Fuel Engines – Duration: Long
Fill a gas canister in the Storage, then pour it into the machine in the Exterior to complete the task.
Weapon Tasks
Clear Asteroids – Duration: Short
Blast asteroids by clicking on them.
