Former Cloud9 VTuber Vienna Announces Departure
Vienna, the popular Twitch streamer known for her focus on League of Legends and esports, has announced that her contract with Cloud9 has come to an end. As many VTubers become independent talents, Vienna is now ready for her next adventure.
On Twitter, Vienna expressed her gratitude for her time with Cloud9. “It’s been a wonderful three years, but my contract with Cloud9 has ended,” she shared. “When I first signed with Cloud9, I was just starting out. Now, I’ve grown and I’m excited for what the future holds. My love for esports continues to drive me forward.”
Cloud9 responded to Vienna’s announcement with warm wishes. They quoted her tweet and expressed their appreciation for her journey. “From debut, to now, and into the future, you’ve always been a shining light. Thank you, Vienna, our favorite Red Bull-loving dragon,” Cloud9 wrote.
Vienna became a VTuber under the Cloud9 organization in May 2021. The org’s focus on esports aligned perfectly with Vienna’s passion for League of Legends. In less than seven months, Vienna achieved enough success to leave her previous job as a game developer and pursue VTubing full-time.
With Vienna’s departure, Depths remains the only VTuber signed to Cloud9. Depths joined the organization in September 2021, shortly after making her debut.
Depths also shared her best wishes for Vienna. “Best of luck Vienna! Your growth has been incredible. I can’t wait to see what exciting projects you have in store! You’re going to be amazing,” the sea-inspired VTuber wrote.
