Blizzard Shares WoW Shadowlands PvP Rewards Update Amidst Community Concerns

Blizzard’s PvP Rewards in WoW: Shadowlands Receive Backlash from Community

Blizzard recently provided an update on the PvP rewards in WoW: Shadowlands, leading to community outrage over the difficulty of acquiring PvP gear.

Conquest Cap Creates Controversy

One of the major drawbacks of the expansion’s Conquest system is the fixed cap that cannot be changed. This has disappointed players who enjoyed the flexibility of previous systems.

Disadvantage for PvP Players

The current cap system also puts PvP-focused players at a disadvantage compared to those who mainly engage in PvE content like Mythic dungeons or the upcoming Castle Nathria raid. By the time PvP players acquire a Conquest item, PvE players will likely already have high-level gear.

Community Dissatisfaction and Concerns

Players have expressed their dissatisfaction and concerns about the lengthy time it takes to obtain Conquest gear, with some estimating it will take around 20 weeks. This creates an imbalance in gameplay, favoring those who can raid and acquire PvE gear much faster.

In addition, an achievement tied to acquiring weapons through Conquest Points has been adjusted due to feedback from the PvP community. The original requirement would have taken PvP players 10 weeks to obtain a Conquest weapon.

Forcing PvP players to also engage in PvE content to remain competitive is reminiscent of issues in the previous expansion, Battle for Azeroth. Players hope Blizzard will take action to address these concerns and avoid a repeat of the same problems.

Blizzard’s efforts to create a positive PvP ecosystem in Shadowlands have been appreciated by players, but the Conquest Cap needs further adjustments based on feedback from the live server. This is crucial to ensure that the company’s work is recognized and valued by PvP players.
