Blizzard Releases Hotfix for Mythic Sludgefist, Reinvigorating World First Race in Castle Nathria.

Castle Nathria Hotfixes Rolled Out by Blizzard After Complexity Limit Encounters Game-Breaking Sludgefist Bug

Blizzard has recently released hotfixes for Castle Nathria in response to a critical bug that was encountered by Complexity Limit, the current leader in the Race to World First. This bug forced the guild to pause their raiding progress.

Limit hit a roadblock when they came across a game-breaking bug during their encounter with Sludgefist. The boss’s Chain Slam ability, which involves pulling in a player and dealing physical damage to them and those around them, was double-casting and causing unfair deaths among raiders.

In an attempt to mitigate this mechanic, guilds had been relying on abilities like the Hunter’s Aspect of the Turtle to prevent incoming damage. However, it was discovered that this bug was being triggered by immunities.

Blizzard has now resolved this bug, along with several other issues in the raid, potentially giving Limit’s rival guild, Echo, an advantage as they enter their second full day of the Race to World First.

Fixes for Specific Boss Encounters:

Lady Inerva Darkvein

  • Fixed an issue where the UI Widget failed to display the number of open Anima Containers.

Lady Sludgefist

  • Fixed an issue where Chain Slam would sometimes hit players twice.
  • Fixed an issue where Giant Fists would occasionally miss the player closest to Sludgefist’s melee target.

Sire Denathrius

  • Fixed an issue where Druids were able to cancel their shapeshift forms in order to escape the reduced movement speed effect from March of the Penitent.
