Blizzard Honors Late Streamer Reckful with NPC in World of Warcraft

Blizzard Honors Reckful by Adding Him as a Rogue Trainer in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Blizzard is paying tribute to Byron “Reckful” Bernstein, a renowned player in World of Warcraft, by introducing him as a Rogue trainer in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion.

Players who have access to the beta version of the expansion can find Reckful’s Non-Player Character (NPC) in the Cathedral of Light. The NPC offers unique dialogue options and can be located through the WoW website Wowhead.

Reckful’s character in the game is a Rogue trainer, but interestingly, he does not train Assassination Rogues. This is a nod to Reckful’s impressive achievement of reaching rank one in season five without playing the spec that was immensely popular at that time.

The NPC provides players with two response options: “I am in need of training, Reckful” or “It was good seeing you again.” This adds an interactive element to the character’s presence in the game.

This is not the first time Reckful has influenced NPCs in World of Warcraft. Byron Burnside, another character inspired by Reckful, was a human vendor located in Bridgeport.

Reckful tragically passed away on July 2 at the age of 31. Following his death, players from both factions gathered in various WoW regions and servers to mourn the loss of this beloved and prominent member of the community.

The Cathedral in Stormwind has become a popular meeting place where fans can encounter Reckful’s iconic Rogue character, further honoring his memory.

Reckful’s inclusion in World of Warcraft provides players with an opportunity to visit and interact with this well-known streaming personality in the virtual world of Azeroth, allowing his legacy to live on within the game.
