Biofrost takes a break from competitive play, shifts focus to streaming for 2021 Spring Split

TSM’s Former Support Biofrost Takes a Break from Pro League of Legends for Spring Split 2021

Vincent “Biofrost” Wang, the former support player for TSM, has announced that he will be taking a break from professional League of Legends for the upcoming Spring Split 2021. Instead, he will be focusing on streaming.

Biofrost rejoined TSM for the 2020 competitive season and played a crucial role in helping the team win the LCS Summer Split title and qualify for the World Championship.

Biofrost’s Professional Career

Throughout his career, Biofrost has spent most of his time playing for TSM. He first joined the team in 2016 and was instrumental in helping them win three LCS titles and make two appearances at Worlds. In 2018, he was traded to CLG, where he didn’t secure any titles for two years. In 2020, he returned to TSM due to the existing synergy between him and Doublelift. Although they managed to win the LCS in the summer, they faced challenges when competing against teams from other regions at Worlds.

Following their disappointing performance at Worlds, TSM made changes to their roster for the upcoming season. Only jungler Spica remains from the previous roster, while Biofrost was replaced by SwordArt, a Worlds finalist. SwordArt signed a record-breaking two-year, $6 million contract with TSM.

Due to the addition of SwordArt to the roster, Biofrost knew he would no longer be the starting support player. One option would have been to move him back to the Academy squad. However, in line with other players who have chosen to explore the streaming scene, Biofrost has decided to pursue streaming as well.
