The wildfire crisis in Australia, which began last September, has already burned over 16 million acres across six Australian states, resulting in the loss of several hundred million animals and the tragic deaths of 24 individuals.

The gaming community has rallied to support the relief efforts, with prominent Twitch streamers like Pokimane leading the way. Pokimane encouraged her followers to donate to the cause, offering to follow those who contributed on social media as a gesture of gratitude.

Various associations, such as Gamer Aid Australia and GenerOzity, have also called for donations and collaborated with streamers to inspire their respective communities to contribute. Even notable individuals like Australian football player and gamer Mitch Robinson have joined the cause. Gamers from different communities have also reached out to game publishers such as Ubisoft and Blizzard, requesting purchasable in-game content in titles like Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch, with proceeds going towards the fight against the crisis.
