Asmongold Reveals His 3 Major Desires for Upcoming League of Legends MMO

Asmongold’s Three Big Wishes for Riot Games’ Upcoming League of Legends MMO

Asmongold, a popular Twitch streamer and avid MMO fan, is eagerly anticipating Riot Games’ upcoming League of Legends MMO. Recently, the executive producer of the MMO, Greg Street, took to Twitter to ask players what features they did not want to see in the game. Asmongold shared his three big wishes in response to this question.

Character-Specific Progress

One of Asmongold’s wishes is to avoid character-specific progress in the game. This desire could be influenced by his experience playing Lost Ark, a game that offers both character-specific and account-wide progress. Account-wide progress in Lost Ark allows players to speed up the progress of secondary characters, which is particularly important since changing classes is not possible. In contrast, games like World of Warcraft require players to start from scratch when they want to play a new role. Including account-wide progress in Riot’s MMO would provide a more seamless leveling process and rewarding shortcuts for players.

Avoiding Flawed Systems and Backwards Progression

Asmongold’s other two wishes for Riot’s MMO are to avoid systems that are intentionally flawed and to steer clear of backwards progression, where players lose items or experience points. He believes that systems should not be implemented with the intention of changing or improving them later for the sake of creating new content. Instead, he advocates for systems that have a clear purpose and contribute to the overall endgame experience.

It’s worth noting that these suggestions may or may not impact the game’s development, as little information has been revealed about the MMO project since its announcement in 2020. Fans are eagerly awaiting news about the direction and release date of Riot’s MMO, but as of now, there is no guarantee that the game will ever be released.
