A New Organization for Empowering Creators in Esports: OTK
A group of popular streamers, including Asmongold, Rich Campbell, Mizkif, Esfand, and TipsOut, has come together to form a new creator-run organization called One True King (OTK). Unlike traditional esports teams, OTK will function more as a media production-style company and brand, focusing on collaboration and empowering talented content creators.
Collaboration and Expansion: OTK’s Vision
Based in Austin, TX, OTK aims to collaborate on various projects, partner with other creators, and expand its network. While they will have a competitive team sponsored by OTK, the initial focus will be on a single roster. This new organization has been in the works for months, with the idea initially sparked during a World of Warcraft dueling tournament involving Asmongold, Esfand, and Rich. TipsOut and Mizkif joined later to help execute the formation and diversify the content pool.
Exciting Plans and Events
As part of its content plans, OTK will host a Race to World First in WoW, covering everything that happens during the event as an independent party. They are currently in discussions with Blizzard to determine the extent of their involvement and are optimistic about creating a substantial prize pool for the event. Other plans include an IRL Transmog competition on Halloween, a Dungeon and Dragons campaign, an esports team, and Classic WoW speedruns.
