Asmongold Criticizes Use of His Twitch Chat on the Day of Reckful’s Death
Asmongold, who has been dominating Twitch with an average of almost 250,000 viewers, recently caught the attention of his audience with his reactions to YouTube videos. During one of his streams, he paused a video by Matpat from Game Theory after realizing that the chat used in the segment was from the day Reckful passed away.
Shock and Disapproval from Asmongold
Reacting to the discovery, Asmongold expressed his disapproval, stating, “I find it’s kind of in bad taste to use my chat on the day that Reckful died.” Asmongold was live on Twitch when news broke about the death of Reckful, a fellow streamer, on July 2, 2020. He was deeply saddened by the news and even pledged $15,000 to suicide prevention in honor of Reckful.
Questioning the Choice
Asmongold questioned why Matpat chose to use his chat in the video, asking his viewers, “You could use any chat, I mean like, why do that? It’s just a bit much, man.”
Asmongold is not the only streamer to take issue with Matpat’s video. Just last week, popular YouTube streamer Ludwig reacted to the video and called out several inaccuracies.
