Asmongold, a Twitch streamer, recently reacted to a clip of NICKMERCS where he denied the existence of transgender individuals. NICKMERCS has faced criticism in the past for similar statements, resulting in a collaboration with Call of Duty being terminated. Asmongold did not explicitly defend NICKMERCS but suggested that the matter is not straightforward.
In a response video, Asmongold noted that many responses to Nick’s posts on [platform] showed support for the streamer. He further stated that he believes a majority of people share the same viewpoint, but are unable to express it on social media. Asmongold defended this perspective by explaining that people’s thoughts are not determined by what they can or cannot say on social media.
Asmongold also hinted that Nick’s previous cancellation may have influenced his current beliefs. He stated that if Nick had not faced that experience, he might not be as outspoken. Asmongold cited xQc, who previously suggested that even the smallest controversies can turn allies into enemies.
