Awkward Moment During Apex Legends Global Series Event
During the recent Apex Legends Global Series event, there was an awkward moment involving two commentators.
For a few seconds, both commentators stayed silent and looked off-screen. Finally, Raynday realized that they were live and let out a giggle. He explained that they were caught in a moment of an “at-home broadcast.” His co-host GuhRL also realized that she was live on the broadcast.
The Apex Legends Global Series is currently taking place remotely due to COVID restrictions. Commentators join in via video from their homes. Given this situation, it’s not surprising that a slip-up like this occurred during the tournament broadcast.
The Global Series Autumn Circuit Regional championship is being streamed on Apex’s Twitch channel. The tournament, which is held completely online, started with the Regional qualifiers on October 5 and will continue until the Playoffs begin on December 19.
