Another esports tournament announced for World of Warcraft Classic

WoW Classic Fall Conquest: A New Esports Tournament

The highly anticipated WoW Classic is about to get even more exciting with the upcoming esports tournament, the WoW Classic Fall Conquest. This tournament will be held on the beloved Arathi Basin battleground in a 15-versus-15 format.

Mark your calendars because the tournament is set to kick off on Oct. 3 and conclude on Oct. 18. Players will be competing for a total prize pool of $12,000, with each region, North America and Europe, receiving an equal share of $6,000.

This tournament will make use of WoW Classic’s recently introduced War Game feature, which allows players to form groups and challenge other full groups to battles. The competition will consist of two stages: open qualifiers and regional finals, with the top six teams from each region advancing to the finals.

To participate, teams of 15 players must sign up for the event. You can register for the North American event here and the European event here. The registration deadline is Oct. 8 for NA and Oct. 1 for EU. The qualifiers will take place two days after sign-ups close and will run for just two days. The top six teams will then battle it out for the prize pool on Oct. 18 for NA and Oct. 17 for EU.

This is the second time that Blizzard has turned Classic into an esports spectacle. The previous event was centered around Warsong Gulch in June. This new tournament brings hope to WoW Classic players who were longing for more exciting tournaments in the game.
