Amouranth Unveils the Essential Element Behind the Surging Popularity of Her Hot Tub Streams

Streamer Amouranth Explains Popularity of Hot Tub Content

Amouranth, a popular streamer who recently signed with streaming platform Kick, discussed the reasons behind the success of her hot tub streams during a podcast interview. She revealed that it was the controversy surrounding the category, rather than the concept itself, that attracted attention to her content.

The Iced Coffee Hour Podcast Interview

Amouranth appeared on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast on June 26, where she provided insights into her career on Twitch and her various business ventures. She emphasized that the drama surrounding the hot tub category played a significant role in driving engagement for her and other streamers.

Decreased Interest after Twitch Acceptance

After Twitch established hot tub streaming as a separate category, the controversy surrounding it subsided as the platform accepted its presence. Host Graham Stephan inquired about the initial purpose of the hot tubs, and Amouranth promptly responded, “I think it’s just a way to subtly convert people to your OnlyFans.”

Influence from Stephanie Matto

During the interview, Amouranth briefly mentioned her “bath water” Twitch endeavor, which was inspired by content creator Stephanie Matto. Matto gained notoriety for selling “fart jars” and landed in the hospital in 2021 due to her commitment to the business. With Matto no longer selling the products in 2022, Amouranth saw an opportunity to put her own spin on the concept.

Amouranth’s Influence and Success

Amouranth has become one of the most successful female streamers, accumulating an estimated net worth of over $20 million USD. She pioneered the ASMR and hot tub streaming trend, paving the way for other streamers to build their own successful platforms.

Signing with Kick

Recently, Amouranth signed with the streaming service Kick, following in the footsteps of another prominent streamer, xQc. The terms of Amouranth’s contract and whether she secured similar conditions to xQc’s, such as the ability to stream on other platforms like Twitch, remain unclear.
