Twitch Streamer Amouranth Announces Indefinite Break Following Abuse Allegations
Amouranth, a popular Twitch streamer, has announced that she will be taking an indefinite break from livestreaming and other content creation. This decision comes after she spoke out about alleged abuse by her husband.
In a recent stream on October 16, Amouranth revealed that she had been facing abuse and manipulation from her husband, who was previously unknown to her fans. During the stream, the 28-year-old streamer shared that her husband had pressured her to create content for OnlyFans, appear single on stream, and controlled their finances.
A day later, Amouranth announced that she had separated from her husband, regained control of her financial accounts, and sought legal and emotional guidance. She continued to stream for several hours, riding one of her horses around her ranch, before ending the stream.
Following her initial allegations, Amouranth announced that she will be taking an indefinite break with a simple message stating, “not sure when I’ll be back.” This left viewers with limited information regarding her return.
The response to Amouranth’s announcement has been mostly supportive, with fellow streamer Valkyrae encouraging her to take all the time she needs. However, concerns about Amouranth’s safety continue to be raised given the severity of the alleged abuse, prompting requests for periodic wellness checks during her break.
