Amouranth Joins Twitch Exodus Signing Massive Kick Deal

Amouranth Announces Move to Rival Streaming Service Kick

It seems that many popular Twitch streamers are leaving the platform, with the latest being Amouranth who shocked fans with her announcement on June 17. She revealed that she is switching to rival streaming service Kick.

Kick’s Growing Popularity and Twitch Controversies

This move comes shortly after xQc, another prominent streamer, signed a two-year, $100 million contract with Kick. The streaming service is gaining popularity due to its more favorable subscription revenue share for streamers. Moreover, recent controversies surrounding Twitch’s decision to restrict branded content have further accelerated Kick’s rise in popularity.

Amouranth’s Announcement and Debut on Kick

Amouranth made her announcement during her seventh anniversary stream on Twitch, and shortly after, she shared a clip on Twitter where she can be seen packing away her hot tub and toys. She then debuted on Kick with over 11,000 viewers, cutting her Twitch stream short in the process.

Possible Concerns and Speculations

Previously in March 2023, Amouranth hinted at a potential move to Kick but expressed concerns about the uncertainty surrounding the new service’s owners and investors. She was worried that an exclusive deal with Kick would cause her to lose her large Twitch community. It is unclear whether Amouranth’s deal with Kick is exclusive or the specifics of the agreement.

Speculations have arisen that Amouranth may be one of the six acquisitions hinted at by Kick owner and streamer Trainwreckstv. As fans anticipate more streamers leaving Twitch, many are now closely following other big names on the platform.
