Among Us overtakes Fall Guys as the most-streamed game of 2020

Among Us Surpasses Fall Guys as the Most-Streamed Game of 2020

Among Us has dethroned Fall Guys as the most-streamed game this year, according to a Q3 report from Engine Media. Previously, Fall Guys held the title, but fans have now shifted their attention to the new sensation.

A report from Nepalaya Esports reveals that Among Us has surpassed Fall Guys as the most-streamed game on all platforms. This comes as a surprise since Fall Guys was immensely popular just a few weeks ago.

Fall Guys rose to fame with its enjoyable battle royale mini-games, where players compete in obstacle courses and team game modes. The games are played until only one player remains, making it an entertaining experience for both streamers and viewers.

During a brief period, many top streamers, including Timthetatman, showcased their skills in Fall Guys to hundreds of thousands of viewers. Timthetatman even achieved his first win with an audience of 300,000 people.

Among Us was initially released in 2018 and remained relatively obscure until YouTubers and streamers began playing it in July, bringing attention to its exciting gameplay.

In Among Us, a group of 10 players must complete tasks around the map in order to escape. However, two players are designated as Imposters who must eliminate everyone before the tasks are completed. The Crewmates can report dead bodies and suspicious activities to vote out the Imposters, but they themselves are at risk of being ejected.

This unique gameplay style has provided content creators with a fantastic platform and attracted thousands of players to try the game with their friends. With over 100 million downloads and 3.8 million concurrent players, Among Us has gained more popularity than Fall Guys. Additionally, its availability on PC and smartphones makes it more accessible compared to Fall Guys, which is only playable on PS4 and PC.

While it remains to be seen if Among Us will continue its domination on streaming platforms, future updates from InnerSloth, the game’s developer, will certainly keep players engaged. InnerSloth has recently announced that they have halted the development of Among Us 2 in order to focus on expanding the content of the original game, which means new maps and tasks can be expected.
