Among Us continues to dominate streamer viewership as Valkyrae credits ‘Sussy Sundays’ for increased viewers

Popular Streamer Valkyrae’s ‘Sussy Sundays’ Among Us Content Garnering Massive Views

Among Us, a space-themed party game released in 2018, gained immense popularity in 2020, thanks to content creators. According to Stream Charts, the game accumulated over 419 million hours watched on Twitch.

Despite a decline in the playerbase, Among Us still attracts viewers, especially for content creators like the Amigops squad. Valkyrae, Disguised Toast, Sykkuno, CORPSE HUSBAND, and others consistently stream ‘Sussy Sundays’ to keep the game alive.

During a June 10 broadcast, Valkyrae revealed that a significant portion of her audience watches exclusively for Among Us gameplay. She mentioned, “There are a lot of people that literally only watch because of Among Us. It’s true, I have like 30,000 viewers on Sundays and the rest of the week they couldn’t care less.”

The popularity of Among Us led to a surge in streamers. Even Ludwig admitted to cheating for content, and Disguised Toast expressed regret for not catching onto the Twitch meta. The game even broke into the mainstream, with Valkyrae playing Among Us on Jimmy Fallon in 2021.

Despite its decline, Valkyrae’s story proves that Among Us still has a strong following.
