The Streamy Awards Celebrate Top Twitch and YouTube Creators

The prestigious Streamy Awards have concluded once again, recognizing the most influential content creators on Twitch and YouTube. This year, beloved creators such as Ludwig, MrBeast, and xQc received accolades, along with rising stars like Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed who had phenomenal breakout years.

Here is a list of all the award-winning content creators and the categories they triumphed in:

xQc — Just Chatting Streamer

Felix “xQc” Lengyel may not have won Streamer of the Year, but he secured the award for the Just Chatting category. This victory is well-deserved, considering he streamed Just Chatting for over 1,000 hours this year, attracting an average of 70,000 viewers per stream.

iShowSpeed — Breakout Streamer

iShowSpeed went from being a controversial streamer with a niche community to becoming a household name in the industry. His ability to attract massive celebrities to his stream earned him the Breakout Streamer award.

Kai Cenat — Streamer of the Year

Kai Cenat claimed the grandest prize of all: the Streamer of the Year award. He shattered records and became the most-subscribed streamer on Twitch. Cenat even celebrated this achievement in a heartwarming manner, displaying his kindness and entertainment value.

MrBeast – Creator of the Year and Creator for Social Good

Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson took home two Streamy Awards this year. He was honored as Creator of the Year, the most prestigious award that encompasses all forms of content creation. Additionally, MrBeast received the Creator for Social Good award along with Mark Rober for their immense efforts in raising over $30 million to combat ocean pollution.

Ludwig — Variety Streamer

Ludwig Ahgren, known for his versatility, won the Variety Streamer award. His content stands out in the industry due to its exceptional quality and entertainment value.

Hasan — News

Hasan Piker, a streamer whose content revolves primarily around news, earned the News award. His ability to make political news cool has captivated viewers across different platforms.

Markiplier — Gamer

Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach had a monumental year, hitting 34 million subscribers on YouTube and surpassing 19.2 billion video views. His Let’s Play videos, including the timeless classic Five Nights at Freddy’s, continue to captivate audiences in 2022.

Tarik — Competitive Gamer

Tarik Celik had an exceptional year as a competitive gamer, transitioning from a former CS:GO pro to a prominent VALORANT streamer. Thanks to his VALORANT streams, he achieved widespread recognition and even signed with Sentinels. Consequently, Celik received the Competitive Gamer award at the Streamy Awards.

CodeMiko — VTuber

Youna Kang, also known as CodeMiko, was recognized for her pioneering work as a VTuber. As VTubing gains popularity, CodeMiko and her fellow VTubers are leading the way. It’s no surprise that she won the VTuber award at this year’s Streamy Awards.
