All streamers can now access Twitch’s newly launched Guest Star feature

Twitch Launches New Guest Star Feature for Streamers

Twitch has officially made its new Guest Star feature available to all content creators. The feature, which was announced earlier this summer, aims to enhance collaborative content between channels.

Enhancing Collaboration with Guest Star

The Guest Star feature allows streamers to invite audience members to appear on their stream with video and audio capabilities. It is compatible with popular broadcasting software like OBS and Streamlabs.

Key Features and Safety Measures

Streamers, moderators, and viewers can report individual guests without reporting the entire channel. Moderators have access to tools like invite, mute, vet, and remove guests. Streamers can also see and communicate with guests backstage before bringing them on stream.

Feedback and Future Updates

Though the Guest Star feature is still considered a work-in-progress, Twitch encourages creators to provide feedback on the tool. The platform recommends using OBS and Google Chrome as the web browser. The feature is currently only available on desktop, not on mobile devices.

Currently, streamers can bring up to five Twitch users on at one time using the Guest Star feature. The feature requires viewer request mode to be turned on.
