12-year-old streamer FaZe H1ghsky transitions to YouTube after Twitch suspension

FaZe Clan’s Youngest Fortnite Player Begins Streaming on YouTube After Twitch Ban

12-year-old H1ghsky1, one of FaZe Clan’s youngest Fortnite players, has recently started streaming on YouTube. This comes after he received a ban from Twitch due to controversy surrounding his age.

The issue arose from a lawsuit filed by popular Fortnite professional Turner “Tfue” Tenney, where it was revealed that FaZe Clan had pressured H1ghsky into lying about his age. Evidence showed that the young player was actually 11 years old when he signed with FaZe Clan.

As per Twitch guidelines, individuals under the age of 13 are not allowed to stream on the platform. This meant that H1ghsky could not broadcast on Twitch for at least another year.

Similar to Twitch, YouTube also has a rule that minors cannot stream content unless accompanied by an adult. To comply with YouTube’s regulations for his age, H1ghsky had his mother join him on his stream.

During his stream, H1ghsky addressed the concerns about his age and confirmed that he is indeed only 12 years old. He apologized for lying, admitting that he did it to pursue his dream and because his age was seen as a hindrance. Fortunately for him, he just needs to wait for another year before he can stream without his mother’s supervision.
