k0nfig would be the second player to be benched by North this week, following the replacement of René “cajunb” Borg with North Academy AWPer Daniel Mertz.
This potential move would mark the end of k0nfig’s one-year tenure with North, as well as his partnership with long-time in-game leader Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen, with whom he won EPICENTER 2016 under the Team Dignitas banner.
K0nfig’s absence from media interviews during the New Legends stage of the ELEAGUE Major: Boston has fueled speculation about his future. North’s unsuccessful run in the tournament resulted in losses to Vega Squadron, Astralis, and BIG.
North has not yet commented on k0nfig’s future with the team.
