Qatar to host debut of multi-million dollar Dota 2 series in 2021

Valve’s Dota 2 Pro Circuit may be a thing of the past, but third-party organizers are stepping in to fill the void in Dota’s competitive scene. One such collaboration is between Peruvian production organization ESB and the Qatar Esports Federation (QESF). They have announced plans to host a series of tournaments across two countries in 2024, injecting $2.6 million USD into the Dota 2 calendar.

In a press release dated February 4, it was revealed that ESB and QESF will be adding three offline tournaments to the 2024 Dota 2 circuit. The events will take place in Doha and Lima, with the Qatari capital hosting LAN and Arena LAN events in early April and late November respectively. Lima, on the other hand, will be the venue for tournaments in August and July.
