Superbet Group Appoints Jimmy Maymann as New CEO
Superbet Group is undergoing a change in leadership as Johnny Hartnett steps down from his position as CEO and transitions to a role on the company’s Board as a non-executive director. Effective from 15th January 2024, Jimmy Maymann, the Deputy Chairman of Superbet, will take on the role of CEO. Maymann brings a wealth of experience and expertise in senior leadership and board-level positions, particularly in the technology, media, digital services, telecoms, and NGO sectors.
A Seasoned Tech Investor
Maymann has played a significant role in the creation and growth of over 10 companies throughout his career, leading to successful exits. One notable example is the online video distribution platform GoViral, which he co-founded and later sold to AOL in 2011. He has also served as the Executive VP of AOL’s content brands portfolio, reaching a global audience of 499 million unique visitors per month. Additionally, Maymann held the position of CEO of The Huffington Post, overseeing its international expansion strategy and contributing to its monthly audience growth of 35 million to around 210 million unique visitors.
