SBC grows in Malta with opening of new office

The New Office Inauguration by SBC in Malta Extends the Company’s Reach

With the official inauguration of its new headquarters on the island of Malta, events and media business SBC is expanding its presence in Malta. This move shows the company’s dedication to strengthening its role in the iGaming center, where the CasinoBeats Summit has been for the past six years.

Development and Growth

After two successful editions of the CasinoBeats Summit in London (in 2018 and 2019, respectively), 2019 saw a major change as the Summit expanded to Malta. Another sign of the company’s growing dedication to the Maltese iGaming community was the 2019 launch of the inaugural “Malta Baby” party.

Since its debut, the CasinoBeats Summit has grown dramatically, as indicated by the spike in participant numbers, with a projected 4,500 people at this year’s event, which will be held at the InterContinental Hotel from May 21st to May 23rd.

Contemplating Malta

“Malta maintains a special place as the hub of iGaming, which is also the venue for the CasinoBeats Summit,” stated Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. Since many of our friends and clients are locals, we feel a strong need to deepen our connections to the Malta community.

SHOW HOME In October 2019, the inaugural members of The Strand, a top-tier coworking space where employees stationed in Malta will be located, were welcomed. This center has a plethora of amenities and is attractive with a Scandinavian design. It spans four stories. Offering a wide range of amenities such as a sauna, gym, on-site bar and restaurant, members lounge, gaming area, terraces, and more, it delivers the ideal combination of business and relaxation.

Increasing Effort and Capacity

With 130 workers and a global expansion strategy, SBC’s new Malta office will work in tandem with its well-established headquarters in Manchester and London. A strong client-facing presence is boasted by the company in its Malta office, which is staffed by members of the sales, partnerships, and content marketing teams:

  • Associate Relationship Manager Brandon Spiteri
  • Head of Event Design and Branding, Dafne Salvatori
  • The Head of Content Marketing, Maria (Masha) Tsnompilantze
  • Head of Sales, Sharon O’Neill Libreri
  • Sabrina Sammut is the manager of operator relationships.

“The level of thought leadership events held on our shores owes much to Malta’s standing as the ‘Home of Gaming Excellence,'” gaming industry executive Ivan Filetti said in a statement welcoming SBC to his home nation. SBC’s CasinoBeats Summit is a prime example of how our collaboration has been beneficial, propelling the growth of the industry both domestically and internationally.

They have shown their dedication to keeping a strong link with Malta all year round, and we are overjoyed to hear that they have decided to set up shop here. The significance of Malta in the gaming ecosystem is further highlighted by this move, which further solidifies our position as a leading location for gaming collaboration and thought leadership.

Thrilling Fresh Starts

Three weeks before the 2024 CasinoBeats Summit, the office began operations on May 2. If your company is already a member of the SOHO community, you are cordially invited to drop by Office 19, which is on Strand Level 3, to meet the Malta team.

Taking place on Wednesday, May 22nd, SBC will be celebrating the office opening at the Infinity by Hugo’s at the Official Networking Party.
