Clarion Gaming Announces New Charity Partner

The US-based International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) has been chosen as Clarion Gaming’s Charity Partner for the period November 2023 to October 2024. The partnership was announced during the UK’s Safer Gambling Week. Out of the 24 not-for-profit organizations that applied, ICRG stood out for its commitment to scientific research on gambling disorder and responsible gambling.

Andy Ventris, ICE Event Director, expressed Clarion Gaming’s support for safer gambling initiatives and highlighted ICRG’s mission to help individuals and families affected by gambling problems. As the Charity Partner, ICRG will have a prominent presence at ICE 2024, the co-located iGB Affiliate show, and July’s iGB L!VE event in Amsterdam. This collaboration will allow ICRG to connect with international stakeholders and extend its reach through Clarion Gaming’s content platforms.

Art Paikowsky, President at the International Center for Responsible Gaming, acknowledged the honor of becoming Clarion Gaming’s Charity Partner. He emphasized the organization’s 25-year history of providing evidence-based research to mitigate harm to players and its dedication to advancing responsible gambling initiatives. Paikowsky believes this partnership will have a meaningful impact on the responsible gambling landscape.

Since its establishment in 1996, ICRG has played a crucial role in increasing understanding of gambling harms and finding effective methods of mitigation. Their work has influenced public policy and strengthened responsible gambling practices. The ICRG has received nearly $40 million in funding from various stakeholders in the casino gaming industry, equipment manufacturers, sports wagering companies, tribal casinos, vendors, and related organizations.
