Your Green ‘Shiny’ Snorlax in Pokémon Sleep Is Not Real

Woke Up to a Green Snorlax in Pokémon Sleep? Here’s the Scoop

So, you woke up this morning and thought you hit the jackpot with a Shiny Snorlax in Pokémon Sleep? Sorry, but that’s not the case.

Pokémon Sleep has been entertaining us for two weeks now. Many of us just made it to Cyan Beach, the game’s second research area. If you moved there today, you probably ran into a green Snorlax. It sure caught many fans by surprise. They thought they found a Shiny Snorlax. But, this green version is just a special type from Cyan Beach. It’s not as rare as we hoped.

Green Snorlax

Fans can be forgiven for thinking they found a Shiny Pokémon. After all, Shinies have a different color than usual. But, a real Shiny Snorlax would be a darker shade of blue, not green. It would also sparkle.

Even if it’s not a shiny find, don’t be too down about it. In Pokémon Sleep, you can’t catch a Shiny Snorlax anyway. They don’t offer anything special nor improve your chances of finding other Shinies. Also, these Snorlax variants only hang around for a week before switching out. So if you did find a Shiny, you’d have to let it go soon anyway.

Chasing Other Shiny Pokémon

But, not all hope is lost. The game still lets you find and keep other Shiny Pokémon. If luck is on your side, you might even discover a Shiny Pokémon taking a nap on your Snorlax’s belly. Now, wouldn’t that be something?

Remember, the world of Pokémon Sleep is vast. Keep exploring, and who knows what amazing creatures you’ll find next!
