What is Typhlosion’s Type in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Unrivaled Tera Raid Event?

Typhlosion takes the spotlight in the new seven-star Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This news is exciting yet tricky for players new to Tera Raids. Unlike its usual form, Typhlosion will have a different type in the raid, puzzling many since the Pokémon itself looks unchanged.

Unique Tera Types in Tera Raids

Special Tera Raids in Scarlet and Violet show Pokémon with unusual typings. This twist is thanks to the game’s Terastallization feature, exclusive to Gen IX.

Typhlosion’s Tera Type in the Event

In Tera Raids, Pokémon mostly keep their original type or adopt one from a dual typing. Yet, seven-star raids take this a step further. They completely change a Pokémon’s type via Terastallization. For Typhlosion, this means it becomes a Ghost-type.

Battling Ghost-type Typhlosion means it gets stronger with Shadow Ball attacks and doesn’t get hurt much by Water, Rock, or Ground moves. So, avoid using Pokémon weak to Fire or Ghost moves, as Typhlosion’s Eruption move is very strong.

How to Beat Ghost-type Typhlosion

The key to victory is handling its Ghost and Fire-type attacks while also being ready for its Play Rough and Earthquake moves. Work with your team to counter these attacks effectively and beat the new Unrivaled Raid Boss.

This raid event introduces a challenging twist with Typhlosion’s new Ghost-type. But with the right strategy and teamwork, players can conquer this challenge and emerge victorious.
