Upcoming Pokémon Go Event Reveals New Shiny Fossil Pokémon and Introduces Mega Tyranitar

Fossil Pokémon are usually tough to catch in any Pokémon game. But, an exciting event in Pokémon Go is about to change that. These ancient creatures are going to pop up more often.

Adventure Week Makes a Comeback

Adventure Week is back in Pokémon Go from July 27, 10am local time, to August 2, 8pm local time. The event brings all fossil-based Pokémon to the game. For the first time, you can fight Regidrago in Raids. Plus, Mega Tyranitar joins Mega Raids. This gives players a chance to get Tyranitar Mega Energy.

Adventure Week Announcement

During this time, you’ll run into more fossil Pokémon like Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl. Even rare ones like Tyrunt and Amaura will show up, and they can be shiny. This is the first time shiny Tyrunt and shiny Amaura are in the game. They’ll stay after the event, but catching them won’t be easy.

Research and Rewards

The event offers free and paid Timed Research. The free option lets you explore and find ancient Pokémon your way. The paid research gets you a Super Incubator and more encounters. A new challenge asks you to catch all the fossil Pokémon. Complete it to meet Tyrunt and Amaura.

Research Challenges

You can earn double XP for spinning PokéStops, or even five times more if it’s a new spot for you. Eggs will hatch in half the distance. Plus, keep an eye on the sky for a colorful surprise.

Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura will be in seven-kilometer Eggs during the event. Some, like Tyrunt and Amaura, also appear in Field Research tasks. Alongside them, you can find Omastar, Kabutops, Cradily, and Armaldo. This gives you many chances to catch some new Shinies.

Event Bonuses End Soon

All these extras are only around during Adventure Week, from July 27 to August 2. After that, finding these fossil Pokémon will get tough again.

Adventure Week in Pokémon Go is a big deal. Get ready to explore, catch, and fight. Don’t miss out on these ancient Pokémon and shiny newcomers!
