Shiny Helioptile, Shiny Tapu Koko, and Team Go Rocket Set to Electrify Pokémon Go

End January with a Spark: Crackling Voltage Event

Pokémon Go is closing January with a bang! An electric event is coming with lots of Electric-type Pokémon. Just before Team Go Rocket shakes things up in February.

The “Cracking Voltage” event focuses on Electric, Poison, and Steel-types. This is mainly because of the new Team Go Rocket Takeover. Rare Pokémon will show up more, including the first appearance of Shiny Helioptile and Shiny Tapu Koko.

From Jan. 27 to Feb. 5, the Crackling Voltage event is on. But, the main draw is the new Shiny Pokémon. Want a Shiny Helioptile? You have a better shot at hatching one from seven-kilometer Eggs you get during this event.

Don’t Miss Galarian Stunfisk and Hisuian Voltorb

Keep an eye out for rare ones like Galarian Stunfisk and Hisuian Voltorb. They’ll pop up more often, so catch them while you can.

Watch Out for Team Go Rocket

But, get ready for a twist from Feb. 1 to 5. Team Go Rocket is taking over. They bring new Shadow Pokémon and will swarm PokéStops and balloons more often.

New Shadow Pokémon to Catch

Also, watch out for new Shadow Pokémon like Alolan Vulpix, Spoink, Blitzle, and Joltik. Plus, Niantic has a few surprises. Remember, 12-kilometer Eggs are back! Beat Team Go Rocket leaders to get these Eggs. They hatch rare Pokémon like Larvitar, Absol, and Deino.

This event is your chance to power up before Team Go Rocket’s arrival. So, get ready to catch, hatch, and battle your way through Pokémon Go’s electric event!
