Shaymin Lights Up Sustainability Week in Pokémon Go
Pokémon Go’s Sustainability Week just got a big boost. Niantic has thrown Shaymin into the mix, offering free Special Research for everyone. 
This is great news for players who weren’t too excited about the event before.
For the first time since last summer’s Go Fest 2022, the Mythical Grass-type Pokémon Shaymin is back. This means if you’re new to the game or missed out before, you now have a shot at catching Shaymin.
Catch Shaymin with Special Research
The event brings new “Grass and Gratitude” Special Research. It’s free and launches with the event. Finish this research to meet Shaymin in its Land Forme. You’ll also get other cool rewards.
Shaymin’s other form, Sky Forme, is already in the game but not part of this event. It was exclusive to Go Fest last year. Right now, you can’t switch Shaymin’s forms in Pokémon Go. That might change in the future, though.
For now, your job is to help Professor Willow find Shaymin’s Land Forme. By doing this, you’ll add a new entry to your Pokédex.
What Else to Expect During Sustainability Week
Sustainability Week runs from April 20 to 26. It’s not just about Shaymin. New Pokémon like Bounsweet, Steenee, and Tsareena will show up for the first time. There are also bonuses for walking with your Buddy Pokémon.
