Shadow Raids introduce a sinister twist and Shiny Shadow Mewtwo to Pokémon Go

New Shadow Raids in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is kicking things up a notch with Shadow Pokémon and Team Go Rocket. They’re bringing a fresh raid challenge into the game. This will all unfold in the latest event of season 10 – Rising Shadows.

Shadow Raids will work a bit like the Go Rocket takeovers at PokéStops. But this time, Gyms are the target. Shadow Pokémon will be there to bring a new twist to raids. And guess what? Shadow Mewtwo is up first, shiny and all.

How to Face the Challenge

In Shadow Raids, players will go toe-to-toe with super strong Pokémon. These foes get tougher the longer you fight, boosting their attack and defense. But don’t worry. With the right team, you can still win. And there’s a new item that can help calm these enraged Pokémon down.

Shadow Shards are the new collectibles in the game. Gather enough and use Professor Willow’s tech to make a Purified Gem. This Gem can lower the raid boss’ stats during Shadow Raids. Plus, you can use them together for a bigger effect.

Beating the Rage

Use enough Purified Gems and you can snap the Shadow Raid Boss out of their rage. This trick only works in three and five-star Shadow Raids. And yes, you can’t use Remote Raid Passes for Shadow Raids.

Rising Shadows Event

Rising Shadows is the grand finale of the Rising Heroes season. It introduces Shadow Raids starting May 22. For the first time, players can also snag a Master Ball in Pokémon Go. Don’t miss out on these new challenges and rewards.
