Recent Pokémon Update: Scarlet and Violet gamer achieves rare Shiny Pokémon capture while Go enthusiasts criticize Niantic for scan issues

Shiny Pokémon Hunting Just Got Real

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet made it easier to find Shiny Pokémon. But the odds are tough. Yet, a lucky player got a rare Shiny Three-Segment Form Dundunsparce in only four tries.

In other news, Pokémon Go players don’t like being asked to scan PokéStops in playgrounds and banks. It’s awkward. But, trainers found a smart workaround to avoid the discomfort.

Also, a pro Pokémon Go player beat Mega Salamence alone. They used Shadow Mamoswine and dodged a lot.

Some players get all the luck

Catching a Shiny Dunsparce is super rare, about one in 683 chances. Evolving it into a Three-Segment Form Dundunsparce is even rarer, one in 100. That means technically, it’s a one in 68,300 chance.

But, one player beat these odds quickly. They caught four Shiny Dunsparces and evolved them. The fourth turned into the rare form.

Other players were amazed. They tried hundreds or even thousands of times. They even used boosts to help their chances.

Stop putting trainers in awkward situations, Niantic!

PokéStop Scanning in Pokémon Go helps Niantic improve the game. Players get rewards for scanning areas. But, it can make trainers feel uncomfortable, especially in places like playgrounds and banks.

A trainer shared how uncomfortable it is to scan playgrounds. Others agree. But, there’s a way around it. Trainers can just record their shoes or the ground and still get rewards.

Defeating Mega Salamence solo

Beating Mega Salamence is tough, usually needing a team. But, one trainer did it alone. They used Shadow Mamoswine and dodged attacks. This skill helped them avoid 75% of damage.

Some think this might be a first. But, without a way to track it in the app, it’s just one of the best Raid wins seen.
