Pokémon UNITE Could Receive a New Legendary Character for Pokémon Day

Almost a month has passed since Pokémon UNITE added a new player to its lineup. Now, the game is ready to welcome another Legendary Pokémon. This time, it’s for the Pokémon Day celebration in February.

Legendary Pokémon Join the Battle

Before, Legendary Pokémon in UNITE were just for show. They popped up on various maps as objectives. But Urshifu changed the game in December. It became the first Legendary Pokémon you could play with.

Mythical Pokémon like Zeraora and Mew have been in UNITE for a while. Hoopa even joined as part of last year’s Pokémon Day bash.

Zacian Steps Into the Arena

Thanks to some digging into the game’s files, it looks like Zacian will join the fight. This will be during the Pokémon Day Warm Up event in February. Zacian stands out because it’s the first main mascot Pokémon that players can control outside special events.

It’s still a mystery if Zacian will change forms in the game. Players wonder if it will start in its Hero of Many Battles form. Then, possibly get the Rusted Sword to change into its Crowned Sword form as it levels up. So far, we’ve only seen Zacian in its Crowned Sword form in sneak peeks from data miner ElChicoEevee.

What’s Next?

Data miners have found that Comfey is up next, all set to join the game. They’ve got Comfey ready to play, thanks to some tech tricks. Zacian is likely to follow right after Comfey in February.

TiMi Studio has kept up the pace, adding a new Pokémon each month since UNITE’s launch in July 2021. We saw Urshifu and Dragapult join in December. However, with Comfey slated for a February 2 launch, Zacian’s arrival could align closer to Pokémon Day on February 27. It might even drop on that exact day.
