The Road to 2023 World Championship
Since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet came out, there have been big tournaments everywhere. From San Diego to Australia, players have been battling it out. This year, the big event is in Yokohama, Japan. Every tournament before this is a step towards the grand finale.

Players are getting ready by fighting in online Ranked Battles. These battles are just like the real ones but happen on the internet. The first big online battle, Paldea Prologue, starts on March 10 and ends on March 12. If you’re into Pokémon, now is the time to sign up!
Get Ready for Battle
You can sign up until March 12. It’s all about Double Battles, and you can use any Pokémon from the Paldea Pokédex. This time, you can even bring along Koraidon or Miraidon, the legendary Pokémon of the region. Plus, the four Treasures of Ruin are also okay to use. This is new and will change things up before the Series 3 starts in April.
Expect the Unexpected
With Koraidon, Miraidon, and the Treasures in the mix, it’s going to be intense. Players need to watch out for teams using Koraidon and electric teams with Miraidon. Electric teams weren’t popular before, but Miraidon’s special ability changes that. It pairs well with Pokémon like Iron Bundle and Iron Hands.
Also, the weather teams are stronger than ever. Teams that use the sun are even better with Koraidon. Pokémon that love the sun like Torkoal and Talonflame will do great with Koraidon’s help. It’s all about using these new strategies to win.
