Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Introduce New Typhlosion Tera Raid Event

Fans got it right once again with their guess for the next big event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokémon Company has confirmed a new seven-star Tera Raid. This time, it’s all about Typhlosion and it kicks off on April 14.

First Catch Opportunity

For the first time in Scarlet and Violet, players get a shot at catching the Gen II starter. Unlike the Surfing Pikachu, this is our first crack at Typhlosion.

Event Details

The event has two parts. First, from April 14 to 16, and then again from April 21 to 23. Remember, you can only catch one Typhlosion since it comes with the Mightiest Mark, just like other top-tier raid bosses.

What’s New with Typhlosion?

This Johto starter shifts into a Ghost Tera Type. This means it might bring Shadow Ball into battle. Even though this event won’t let us catch Hisuian Typhlosion, it’s a cool nod to its evolution.

How to Beat Typhlosion

Typhlosion is strong in special attacks. So, setting up rain during the battle might help. Also, watch out for its Eruption move and other tricks.

Fans will notice Typhlosion’s in-game model now always shows fire around its neck. This is something many wanted since the games moved to 3D.

This wraps up the Legends: Arceus starters’ entry into Tera Raids. Fans are on the lookout for possible Rillaboom and Inteleon raids next. After Cinderace’s appearance, it’s a mystery what comes next. We may see repeats of seven-star raids this summer or perhaps new content ahead of Gen IX’s DLC.
