Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC to Receive Physical Edition Release — With Some Conditions

New Updates for Pokémon Fans

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are getting an exciting DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. They will release it in two parts. The first part drops on September 13, and the second part will come out in the winter.

What’s New in the DLC?

Just like the Sword and Shield DLC, this update will add new Pokémon to the Paldea Pokédex. Fans can also look forward to new regional forms. For example, Applin gets a new evolved form. Plus, there’s a fresh story and a new map to explore.

Physical Release Comes with a Twist

What’s unique this time is that Scarlet and Violet will have a physical release. But there’s a catch – it’s only available in Hong Kong for now. The physical version is not a traditional game cartridge. Instead, it’s a DLC box with a code inside to redeem the content.

Sword and Shield had a similar deal. They offered a boxed version of the DLC and a version with the base game and Expansion Pass. So, we might see similar options for Scarlet and Violet in other countries too.

Buyer, Be Careful!

Nintendo has warned fans to be careful when buying the DLC. There are two different versions in the Nintendo eShop. Make sure you buy the right DLC pass that matches your game version. Players learned this the hard way with Sword and Shield, ending up with the wrong version.

So, Pokémon trainers, are you ready for these new adventures? Keep these tips in mind to enjoy the latest additions without any hiccups.
