Pokémon Players Employ Two Clever Strategies for Dominating Scarlet and Violet Delphox Tera Raids

The Unrivaled Delphox event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is proving to be a huge challenge. It’s the toughest seven-star Tera Raid to date. Yet, players have found some smart ways to beat it.

Understanding Delphox’s Weakness

Delphox usually isn’t too scary. But as a raid boss with the Fairy Tera Type, it’s a real threat. The main problem is finding a Pokémon that can hit Fairy types hard without getting knocked out quickly. Since Fairy types are mostly weak against Steel and Poison, it’s tough. Delphox’s Fire and Psychic attacks can easily knock these types out.

Flash Fire to the Rescue

Luckily, there’s a solution – the Flash Fire ability. Some Fire-type Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet have this ability. It makes them immune to Fire attacks. This is perfect against Delphox, especially if your Pokémon also has a Steel Tera Type for extra punch. With Flash Fire, your Steel Tera Pokémon can withstand Delphox’s Fire Blasts.

Top Picks for the Raid

Players are turning to Pokémon like Heatran, Armarouge, and Ceruledge. Heatran is a top choice due to its Steel type. However, getting it might be tough if you don’t already have one from other games like Legends: Arceus. If you do have Heatran, use Metal Sound to drop Delphox’s Special Defense. Then, hit it with Flash Cannon and use the Steel Tera Type as soon as you can.

If you can’t find Heatran, check out a special Armarouge build. It’s known to solo the raid on its own. This setup involves using Calm Mind and Acid Spray to weaken Delphox. Then, unleash Flash Cannon for massive damage and Stored Power after Terastallizing. This approach should help win against the cunning fox.

Try Teamwork with Perrserker

Besides the Flash Fire strategy, a fun option involves team play. Use Perrserker’s Steely Spirit ability in a team to take down Delphox in one turn. Start by having three Perrserkers use Fake Tears on Delphox. This lowers its Special Defense. Then, with Steely Spirit boosts and the dropped defense, unleash your strongest Steel-type Pokémon. Gholdengo or Dialga work great here, potentially taking out Delphox in one hit.

Just like it worked against Unrival Inteleon with Tinkaton, Perrserker shines in these challenging Tera Raids. It’s one of the best counters out there.

So, if Delphox is giving you trouble, try sticking with Flash Fire Pokémon for solo raids. Or gather some friends and use Perrserker for a fun team strategy. These methods provide a solid chance at victory against the tricky fox.
