Pokémon Go unveils June’s Weedle Community Day details

Pokémon GO Reveals Information for June’s Weedle Community Day

Pokémon GO players are in for a treat during the upcoming Weedle Community Day event in June. Niantic, the game’s developer, recently released details about what trainers can expect during the event.

On June 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, trainers will have the opportunity to encounter a plethora of Weedle, the iconic Bug/Poison-type Pokémon. Weedle will appear more frequently in the wild and players might even stumble upon a shiny variant. If you’re lucky enough to catch or evolve a Kakuna into Beedrill, it may learn an exclusive move.

For those looking to optimize their gameplay, there are some additional bonuses to watch out for. Incense, an item that often lures Pokémon to your location, will last for three hours, providing trainers with ample opportunities to catch as many Pokémon as possible. The effects of Incense will begin as soon as the event begins, so don’t forget to activate it. Additionally, any Incense activated during the event will be able to lure Weedle.

Furthermore, the trading distance will be increased to 1/4 of the normal distance. So if you have friends who live far away, this is the perfect chance to trade Pokémon and potentially obtain one with excellent IVs (individual values).

Excitingly, featuring the Evolution Pokémon, Community Day Research tasks will be available for trainers. By completing these tasks, trainers can earn rewards including an Elite Charged TM, which is a valuable item used to teach any existing Pokémon a Charged Attack of your choice.

Though the in-person gathering aspect of Community Day is currently paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, trainers can still enjoy these bonuses and features from the comfort of their homes. So get ready, trainers. Mark June 20 in your calendar and prepare to catch a swarm of Weedle during Pokémon GO’s Weedle Community Day!
