Pokémon Go to Host Additional Global Events Simultaneously with Go Fest 2023 Ticketed Dates

Pokémon Go Fest is the year’s biggest event for fans of the hit mobile game by Niantic. This year, things will change a bit. Alongside the always-exciting Go Fest, Niantic plans to introduce another global event. This will happen at the same time as the ticketed Go Fest activities in some cities.

What’s New in Go Fest 2023

Go Fest 2023 will break into four parts. Fans can join in-person events in London, Osaka, and New York across August. There’s also a global event for everyone on Aug. 26 and 27. The in-person and global events will have unique content. Some of it will be behind a paywall or need you to be at a certain location. Yet, Niantic surprises us with a non-Go Fest event in London and Osaka.

Glittering Garden Event Details

From Aug. 5 to 8, the Glittering Garden event will take over. This event is all about Grass-type Pokémon. It offers the chance to catch some rare ones and ties back to Go Fest. The highlight here is the debut of Shiny Petilil. Fans can also find more Bulbasaur, Ferroseed, Spritzee, Swirlix, Dedenne, and more. If you’re into hatching eggs, look for Budew, Cherubi, Larvesta, Sewaddle, and Bounsweet. They will pop out of two-kilometer eggs you pick up during this event.

Perks for Players

Everyone loves bonuses, and Glittering Garden won’t disappoint. Players can earn more Candy and Stardust from hatching eggs. Also, bonding with your Buddy will take less distance than usual. If you’re at Go Fest in Osaka or London, you’ll get these perks too. Plus, you’ll have a higher chance to meet specific Pokémon on certain days in the designated park.

Each day of the Glittering Garden event will spotlight a different Pokémon:
– Petilil on Aug. 5
– Cacnea on Aug. 6
– Oddish on Aug. 7
– Seedot on Aug. 8

Possible New York Tie-In Event

Go Fest 2023: New York might also have its own special tie-in event from Aug. 18 to 20. Niantic hasn’t shared all the details yet. But, players can expect extra bonuses while they catch Diancie and take on Mega Rayquaza.

This year’s Pokémon Go Fest and related events promise lots of excitement and rare catches. Whether you’re attending in-person or participating globally, get ready for an action-packed August!
