Pokémon Go Plus Bug Severely Impairs Device’s Capture Abilities

Before the Pokémon Go Plus + hits the stores in America on July 14 and in Europe on July 21, players have found a big problem. This glitch might mess with the gadget’s key feature.

Bug Alert for Pokémon Go Plus

On July 10, a Reddit post shared a frustrating issue with the original Go Plus. It seems the device might not catch Pokémon for you, even when the app says it should. This problem pops up when the game restarts. Make sure your Go Plus is working right before you stop paying attention to your phone. If not, you can’t catch Pokémon with it.

How to Solve the Capture Bug

If your Go Plus isn’t catching Pokémon, despite the “Identify Nearby Pokémon” being on, there’s a quick fix. Just jump into the Accessory Devices menu and then leave it. Things should work fine after that, but it might take a minute to kick in. At first, players thought they had to switch the “Identify Nearby Pokémon” setting off and then on again. But further tests showed that simply entering and exiting the Accessory Devices screen fixes the bug.

Keep an Eye on the Bug

This fix is straightforward, but remember to check it every time you restart the game. We hope this bug will vanish soon, especially with the Pokémon Go Plus+ launch around the corner. The Plus+ is expected to bring even more exciting features.

Stay Tuned for Updates

Niantic has promised to fix several Pokémon Go bugs, including a broken Showcase feature. So, keep playing and stay updated on the fixes for the best experience. The Plus+ debut promises to make Pokémon Go even more fun, with new features to enhance your adventures.
