Pokémon Go Players Unhappy with Niantic Shortening New Content Events Length

Lately, Pokemon Go gamers have a lot to fuss over with Niantic’s top game. Now, short events add to their issues.

Players struggle with shadow raids and other changes. Niantic even called recent game improvements a mistake. Plus, they’re shutting down other games.

Gamers are upset about Niantic shortening big events. Take Dark Flames. It was too short, even with great quests and Pokemon.

Community Feedback

Players think events are getting too short. “The last one lasted 12 days,” one said. Many feel recent events are unfairly brief and a bit greedy.

Dark Flames Issues

For Dark Flames, tasks demanded too much in little time. This made players feel pushed to spend money.

“I gave up on the timed research,” a player shared. “Facing three raids with no worthwhile rewards convinced me to stop.”

Not a New Problem

Niantic has faced criticism before. They even cut Community Day to just three hours. It’s hard for those with fixed work hours to enjoy.

Hopes for Improvement

Things might get better. The 7th-anniversary event offers bonuses for a longer time, July 6 to 12. But after months of issues, players need big changes to trust again.
