Niantic has been testing various modifications to Pokémon Go in select markets. Over the course of three weeks, these tests will be implemented as content updates that will affect specific gameplay and visual aspects of the game. One of these changes involves replacing the trainer avatars created by renowned Japanese character designer Yūsuke Kozaki with a new set of customizable models.
