One Paradox Pokémon Emerges as the Top Contender in Scarlet and Violet—Confirmed by Major Tournament Victory

Flutter Mane Tops Charts Again

Flutter Mane is taking over the usage charts at the European International Championships for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Fans know by now that this Ghost and Fairy Paradox Pokémon is a top player in the VGC scene.

Paradox Pokémon Take the Stage

Since February 1, with Regulation B, Paradox Pokémon have been legal in ranked and official tournaments. These Pokémon have either 570 or 590 stats, making them strong competitors. Flutter Mane stood out early on as a key player.

Consistent Top Performer

Flutter Mane has led in usage at every major event, except the first Regulation B tournament. At the Orlando Regional Championships, it had a 41.92 percent usage rate, second only to Iron Hands.

Leading with High Usage

Now, at the European International Championships, Flutter Mane is first with a staggering 79.0 percent usage. It’s leading by over 20 percent compared to the second-place Amoonguss.

Why Flutter Mane Dominates

Let’s dive into what makes Flutter Mane unbeatable across formats. Its Ghost and Fairy type offers unmatched offensive and defensive capabilities. No Pokémon can resist this combination thoroughly. Also, it can often knock out opponents in one or two hits.

Great Defense and Offense

Ghost and Fairy types not only attack well but defend smartly in the VGC format. Flutter Mane’s Ghost type avoids flinches from Fake Out. These types cover each other’s weaknesses perfectly, leaving Flutter Mane vulnerable to only Steel and Ghost attacks. It also enjoys three immunities to Normal, Fighting, and Dragon moves.

Ability Details

Flutter Mane’s Protosynthesis might not seem impressive at first. But with the right setup, like using Torkoal for sunlight, it shines. Some teams allow Flutter Mane to stay in battle longer, especially with Booster Energy, making it even stronger.

Remarkable Stats

Flutter Mane’s stats lean towards an offense-oriented glass cannon. However, its Special Defense allows it to survive more hits than expected. By boosting its Defense and using items like Choice Specs, Flutter Mane becomes tough and hits harder.

New Opportunities

Regulation C made Flutter Mane even stronger. With new Dark-type Legendaries to battle, it’s even more useful. Its ability to hit super effectively against most of them boosts its usage.

Other Pokémon, like Iron Bundle, used to compete closely with Flutter Mane. But with the new format, Iron Bundle’s popularity dropped, while Flutter Mane stays on top.

So, will Flutter Mane ever lose its top spot? It seems unlikely anytime soon. Its success comes from its strength and the evolving meta game that favors its use.
