A Reddit user shared a theory on May 15. They think Niantic might give one free Master Ball for a Galarian bird. But to catch the other two, you’d have to buy more Master Balls. This move could make the game feel like “pay-to-catch.”
There’s also talk about lower catch rates for other Pokémon, not just the birds. With the Master Ball, Niantic could make it harder to catch certain Pokémon. This way, they could push players to use daily items with very low catch chances.
What Will Players Do?
Catching Pokémon with low catch rates can be rewarding but frustrating. The Master Ball could make this worse. Some have said they will not spend money on Master Balls. It just doesn’t seem worth it.
Others hope for a Master Ball that refreshes every week. This would let everyone have a fair shot at catching tough Pokémon. But that’s just a hope for now.
