Niantic Potentially Unintentionally Reveals Upcoming Mega Evolution for Pokémon Go

The Hidden Gems season is bringing thrilling new raid events to Pokémon GO starting June 1. Niantic tried keeping some details a secret, but it seems the cat is out of the bag. A slip-up may have just spilled the beans on the next Mega Evolution sooner than expected.

Unveiling The Dark Secret

Come June, the third Mega Raid event is set to showcase the Dark/Ghost-type, Mega Sableye. A group of sharp-eyed data miners caught this detail on Twitter. They noticed Niantic accidentally dropped Mega Sableye’s name in their website data. This leak not only revealed the Pokémon but also the raid’s date and type.

Exciting Raid Announcement

Get Ready for Battle

If these leaks hold up, Mega Sableye will haunt nearby Pokémon gyms from June 29 to July 6. This is your chance to get Mega Energy for Sableye. Brace yourselves; this battle won’t be easy.

Collecting enough Mega Energy lets you Mega Evolve Sableye. This boosts its Combat Power (CP) but not Hit Points (HP). The evolved Sableye will stay mega for eight hours before reverting back.

Use Your Mega Sableye Wisely

If you manage to Mega Evolve Sableye this season, use it to your advantage in Gym and Raid battles. It’ll give you an edge over non-Mega and legendary Pokémon.

Besides Mega Sableye, June is full of opportunities. You can also get Mega Energy for Swampert and Sceptile. Here are the Mega Raid dates:
– Mega Swampert: June 1 to June 15
– Mega Sceptile: June 15 to June 29

All Mega Raids begin and end at 10 am local time. Another Mega surprise awaits between August 16 and August 23, as Niantic hinted.

The Darkness Pokémon

Sableye, often seen as sinister because of its glowing eyes, is a formidable Pokémon. Its Mega form grabs attention with a massive, glowing Sabenite. This form not only has better attack and defense stats but also the Magic Bounce ability. It can use the opponent’s moves against them. But, the Mega form’s speed drops due to the heavy Sablenite it carries.

Remember, Mega Sableye struggles against Fairy-types like Magearna and Fire-types like Heatran. Keep this in mind for your battles.

So, trainers, gear up for an exciting June. With these leaks, the Hidden Gems season just got a lot more interesting. Don’t miss your chance to battle and evolve these powerful Pokémon!
