Niantic imposes more limits on a cherished Pokémon Go feature, then promptly reverts modifications

During the pandemic, Pokémon Go players stayed connected through a key feature. Now, it might change to limit use and access even more.

Niantic recently updated Pokémon Go Remote Raid Passes text, then removed it. The update suggested a daily limit on these passes, which was not there before.

Joe Merrick from Serebii.net shared the update. He said Niantic quickly switched it back, hinting it was released too soon. But, it might still happen.

Since 2020, Remote Raid Pass changes have upset players. Initially free weekly, they got priced like regular passes, ignoring global conditions.

Early changes also weakened Pokémon power from afar and limited pass holding to three at a time.

Unlike free daily Raid Passes, Remote Raid Passes cost 100 PokéCoins each and are rarely in bundle deals.

Niantic hinting at this limit means it might apply it soon. It’s still uncertain, though.

ESN.GG asked Niantic for their thoughts.
