New Pokémon that can be transferred to Sword and Shield from Home.

Pokémon that can now be transferred to Pokémon Sword and Shield from Pokémon Home

Pokémon Home recently released the first wave of Pokémon that can be transferred to Pokémon Sword and Shield. This exciting news has thrilled trainers, as it marks the beginning of expanding the Galar region’s Pokédex with new additions.

The new additions

Trainers can now transfer Pokémon from the following titles into Pokémon Sword and Shield:

– Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!
– Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
– Pokémon Go

This brings over 30 older Pokémon from the Kanto region, including popular choices like Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, along with their respective evolutions.

Furthermore, several Gigantamax forms have become available, adding even more variety to the mix. Trainers can now transfer Gigantamax Melmetal, Gigantamax Charizard, and Gigantamax Pikachu into Pokémon Sword and Shield. These Pokémon will maintain their Gigantamax form, giving them powerful and unique abilities.

The process

To transfer Pokémon to Pokémon Sword and Shield, trainers need to follow these steps:

1. Set up a Pokémon Home account.
2. Install Pokémon Home on a Nintendo Switch.
3. Link Pokémon Home to a Nintendo Account, ensuring it’s the same account used for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
4. Open Pokémon Home on the Nintendo Switch and select Pokémon.
5. Choose the Pokémon you wish to transfer and select Move.
6. After confirming the transfer, the Pokémon will be sent to a box in Pokémon Home.
7. Finally, access Pokémon Sword or Shield, open the Pokémon menu, and select Pokémon Home. From there, choose the desired Pokémon and they will be added to your game.

It’s important to note that once a Pokémon has been transferred into Pokémon Sword or Shield, it cannot be transferred back to the previous games. Therefore, trainers should choose their transfers wisely.

The future of Pokémon Home transfers

While this is undoubtedly exciting news for Pokémon Sword and Shield players, it’s only the beginning. More Pokémon from other regions are expected to be introduced in future updates, allowing trainers to expand their teams even further.

With the continuous support from The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Home is set to become a vital tool for trainers to collect and trade Pokémon from various games. So get ready to explore an ever-growing world of Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield!
