New Pokémon Mods Highlight Inaccurate Size and Scale Representation in Battles

In a cool move by fans, game modder Yisuno showed us how Pokémon should look. On June 29, Yisuno dazzled fans with Pokémon revamped in true scale.

Fans Do It Better

Every Pokémon fan knows the games often get the size of Pokémon wrong. Big Pokémon would look the same size or even smaller than the trainers. Meanwhile, tiny ones looked way too big. But Yisuno, a modder and Pokémon fan game developer, decided to change that.

Yisuno didn’t just make the Pokémon the right size. They also tweaked the camera angles to make sure the new sizes fit the game’s view. They fixed the issue that made battles look weird due to size problems.

True-to-Scale Changes

With Yisuno’s changes, cameras move better around the now correctly sized Pokémon. This gives games like BDSP a more realistic feel, especially during battles. Fans couldn’t believe the update. One fan noticed how the gigantic Eternatus started blocking the view because it was so big.

Another fan worried about how these big Pokémon would fit in smaller, indoor battle areas. Yisuno assured them that they would rework these areas to accommodate the larger Pokémon sizes.

Yisuno also noticed that when Pokémon are the right size, their animations seem too static. They took Wailord’s animations from Pokémon Colosseum, adapted it to the modern 3D model, and made sure it looked right at its huge size. This fixed the static look of its movements.

So, what’s the takeaway? Yisuno has shown us how fans can often understand and improve the games they love. Their dedication gives us a new, more realistic way to enjoy Pokémon battles, proving the power of the gaming community.
